IAN STEEL

Lay Leader

We moved to Vail, Az about 7 ½ years ago from Montana. At that time we became members of the FUMC Tucson. 3 ½ years ago we decided to become “summer people” in Show Low. We really liked the WMUMC especially when Pastor Amy took over and transferred our memberships to WMUMC. My wife Bonnie and I like quilting, RV’ing & camp; cruises.

I have lived in the White Mountains full time for 17 years, but have been traveling here since early childhood. I retired less than a year ago from working in the IT industry managing credit union system software conversions and mergers. I have been enjoying my retirement by hiking with a couple of local hiking groups, helping out at the Humane Society, and traveling. I am a life long Methodist, having been raised in the Methodist Church in Kansas.
